BCB is going to declare the team sheet keeping Tamim Iqbal’s withdrawal from the India tour and also Mohammad Saifuddin’s injury in mind. Besides, a revised squad for the scheduled two-Test series will be also declared within a few days. BCB Director and Operations Committee Chairman Akram Khan came up with the disclosures at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium yesterday, emerging from a board meeting chaired by its President Nazmul Hassan Papon.
Bangladesh will play three-match T20 series against India beginning from November 3. Speculation was rife that Shakib wasn’t going to India. When drawn his attention regarding any such ‘uncertainty,’ Akram ruled out any such speculation over Shakib issue. He said, “I’m yet to know anything about Shakib officially. We’ll inform you in details about Shakib later on. So, we’ll announce everything officially Tuesday (today) through a press conference.”
The latest development takes place days after a truce between the BCB and the striking players. After leading the striking players, Shakib hasn't turned up for the national team's training sessions on two out of three days so far.
