The president will participate in the International Solar Alliance (ISA) Summit at Rashtrapathi Bhavan Cultural Centre in New Delhi on Sunday, jointly hosted by India and France, said Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali on Wednesday.
He will be accompanied by a delegation comprising high level officials of foreign ministry and power division.
Mahmood Ali was speaking at a press conference on the president’s upcoming visit to India at his ministry in the capital.
The foreign minister said that prior to his participation at the summit, the president would visit Meghalaya on Friday and he would reach the Indian capital on Saturday.
“During the visit, President Hamid is expected to meet his Indian counterpart Ram Nath Kovind and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” he said.
The Bangladesh president is likely to meet the presidents of France and Sri Lanka on the sideline of the summit,” Mahmood said.
