Dhaka: Thirty-four people died of coronavirus or Covid-19 in the country in the last 24 hours.
With this, the country recorded 28, 363 deaths from corona till date.
Besides, some 12,183 have newly been infected with Covid-19 during this period. As of now, the number of Covid-19 patients in the country stands at 17 lakh 85 thousand 382.
A notification signed by additional director general (admin) of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) Prof Dr Ahmedul Kabir revealed this information on Sunday (January 30).
According to notification, the country reported 28.33 percent Covid-19 positive cases as 43,006 samples were tested in the past 24 hours. The number of sample tests was registered at 1 crore 24 lakh 33 thousand 324.
As of now, the infection rate is 14.36 percent after detection of coronavirus in the country on March 8, 2020.
The notification said some 2167 people recovered from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours. The total number of recovery cases stood at 15 lakh 65 thousand 645.
