Dhaka: President of Bangladesh Mahila Parishad Ayesha Khanam passed away at a hospital in the capital on Saturday. She was 74.
Ayesha, a freedom fighter, breathed her last at BRB Hospital this morning.
Maleka Banu, general secretary of Mahila Parishad, confirmed the news.
She was suffering from lunge cancer for long, Maleka Banu said.
