Dhaka: The bodies of two Bangladeshis—Zakaria Bhuiyan and Omar Faruk—killed in the horrific Christchurch mosques terror attack in New Zealand were handed over to their grieving families last night.

The bodies arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital around 10:25 on a Singapore Airlines flight from New Zealand.

Zakaria Bhuiyan, a welder, and Omar Faruk, a builder, respectively from Narsingdi and Narayanganj were praying at Al Noor Mosque when the Australian white supremacist opened fire on worshippers on March 15.

Terrorist Brenton Tarrant, however, was charged with one count of murder and appeared at Christchurch District Court after the rampage during Friday prayers which left 50 people dead.

However, New Zealand police said that all 50 victims of the terror attack were identified.
