Sports desk: Bangladesh ODI skipper Mashrafe Bin Mortaza is likely to miss upcoming ODI series against West Indies as he is going to contest in the next month’s general elections.
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) President Nazmul Hassan Papon today said, “Mashrafe is uncertain for the upcoming Windies series. He has collected nomination form to contest in the poll. He has less possibility of playing the series if he gets nomination.”
“Mashrafe will lead the Tigers in World Cup 2019,” BCB chief added.
Earlier, the Narail Express collected the nomination form from the Awami League to contest from the Narail 2 constituency in the upcoming 11th general election, slated for December 23.
The Bangladesh-West Indiies series will kick off on November 22.
