Both the meetings were held at the Secretariat office of the Obaidul Quader, also the Road Transport and Bridges minister, on Thursday afternoon.
Kader Siddique first went to the office of the minister and 3:30pm and held a 30-minute meeting. Later, ex-BNP leader Nazmul Huda, who is now leading Bangladesh National Alliance (BNA), met the minister at his office at 4pm.
Confirming the news, Abu Naser, an official of the ministry, said: “Kader Siddique and Nazmul Huda met the minister this afternoon. But, we don't have any information about the agenda of the meetings.”
Nazmul Huda-led BNA, a platform of 31 political parties, expresses solidarity with Awami League-led 14-party alliance recently.
Obaidul Quader yesterday paid a courtesy call on Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB) President Mujahidul Islam Selim.
Details regarding the meeting could also not be known immediately while some CPB leaders said the move had been made in order to boost the understanding between the two parties before the national polls.
