Dhaka: Awami League General Secretary and also Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said the government will arrange necessary treatment of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia according to the rules and she will be sent abroad if necessary.
The leader made the remarks after a meeting at the office of Awami League president in the capital today.
Obaidul Quader said: “Necessary step will be taken for the treatment of Khaleda Zia after assessing her health condition. Though the BNP leader is in the prison, she will get all entitlements as per rules.”
Earlier in the day, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said Khaleda’s health condition is awfully critical and she needs to receive treatment abroad as early as possible.
