Dhaka: Kazi Siraj, journalist and columnist, died of heart disease at his Banasree residence in the capital on Thursday. He was 70.
His body has been kept in the mortuary of BIRDEM hospital.
His family members took him to Farazy Hospital in the area after the journalist had a fall in the bathroom.
But the doctors declared him dead on arrival.
He left behind his wife, a son and two daughters.
Kazi Siraj, a cousin of late Jatiya Party leader and former prime minister Kazi Zafar Ahmed, acted as editor of Bangla daily Dainik Dinkal for a long time.
