Dhaka: Mayor of Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Annisul Huq has been admitted to a hospital in London after he fell sick.
He is now undergoing treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital, according to family sources.
UNB adds, Annisul has been suffering from neurological problem (dizziness and lack of balance) for the last two months, family sources said, adding that doctors in London diagnosed that the mayor has been suffering from cerebral vasculitis.
Following his illness, the doctors gave him steroids and other drugs.
Mizanur Rahman, personal assistant to Annisul, told UNB that the mayor got admitted into a hospital in London on August 13.
“He is getting well. Doctors are very hopeful about his quick recovery.”
Family members urged all to pray for his early recovery.
Annisul flew to London in the last week of July for personal purpose.
