Khaleda picks Sohel, Qayyum to lead BNP’s Dhaka units

She has split the party's unit for the capital, said a press release published on Tuesday night.

Sohel, the joint secretary general of the BNP's central committee, has been made President of the party's unit at South Dhaka. He has previously headed BNP student wing Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal and Swecchasebok Dal.

Kazi Abul Bashar has been made General Secretary of the committee.

Abdul Qayyum, chosen to lead in the north, was accused in a police case of the

murder of Italian citizen Cesare Tavella in Gulshan. Ahsanullah Hasan will be

General Secretary in the committee.
