Dhaka desk: BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia on Wednesday described Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's recent India visit as a ‘failed one of giving and not getting anything'.
“The country's people think the tour is a failed one of only giving and not getting anything,” she said.
The BNP chief was addressing a press conference at her Gulshan office in the afternoon.
The news conference was arranged to brief the media on the country's latest political situation and the Prime Minister's recent India tour.
Khaleda claimed the Prime Minister herself admitted at her press conference on Tuesday that she went to New Delhi not to seek anything. “She said she had been there to get friendship and she got it,” Khaleda said.
She also said the country's people will judge what this ‘gaseous' friendship is.
The BNP chief said Hasina admitted indirectly through her speech that she brought nothing from India for the country's people. “Instead, she gave everything to India as per its demand,” she said.unb
