News desk: The joint forces stormed the suspected militant hideout at South Bagmara in Sadar Dakshin upazila of Comilla on Friday but none was found inside.
But, the operation codename ‘Strike Out' is still on and a bomb disposal unit is working inside, police sources said.
“Although no militant was found in the den, but some bomb were recovered. Bomb disposal team is working to defuse those,” said Chittagong Range DIG Shafiqul Islam.
Gunshots were heard two times during the operation at about 12:30pm.
Earlier, the SWAT team reached the spot in the morning.
Earlier, on Wednesday, police encircled the ‘militant hideout' following intelligence information.
