News desk: The body of Awami League leader Suranjit Sengupta has been kept at Shaheed Minar for paying last respect to him.
A helicopter carrying his body reached Osmani International Airport around 10.35am on Monday.
The mortal remains of Suranjit will be taken to Sunamganj and it will finally be brought to his constituency Dirai upazila around 3pm for cremation.
People from all sections of society paid tribute to Awami League leader Suranjit Sengupta at his funeral in Sunamganj today.
Suranjit, also a member of the country's constitution formulation committee and a freedom fighter, died at Labaid Hospital in Dhaka city early Sunday.
