Sports desk: The Bangladesh national cricket team is bound for its first Test series in India.
The squad led by Mushfiqur Rahim will travel to the Test venue in Hyderabad via Kolkata.
Though scheduled to leave Dhaka at 11:40 am, the team was delayed over an hour on Thursday, eventually leaving around 1am.
The team has practices on Friday and Saturday and will play India A cricket team in a two-day warm-up match on Sunday.
The tigers will face an on-form India led by Virat Kohli at Hyderabad’s Rajib Gandhi International Cricket Stadium on February 9.
Bangladesh has not played a Test match on Indian soil since receiving Test status in 2000.
