law-minister2Dhaka desk: Law Minister Anisul Huq on Thursday said that the enactment of a law to form the Election Commission should be done carefully, considering its long time impact and not in a hurried manner.

“I think this law could not be made quickly. This law has long time effect. It should be made by giving careful thoughts,” the law minister said in reply to a reporter's query after attending a workshop at Judicial Administration Training Institute (JATI).

However, the law minister said that they were waiting for the president’s decision over the matter.

In response to another query, the minister said that the pending matter of tribunal relocation will be solved as the conversation between him and chief justice is going on over the issue.

“The Supreme Court sent letters to the ministry twice over the relocation of International Crimes Tribunal from the old High Court building. But, we have requested the apex court twice to reconsider its decision. The matter will be solved soon as conversation is ongoing,” the minister noted.
