Dhaka desk: BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia appeared at a Dhaka court on Thursday, but did not place her defence statement in the Zia Charitable graft case as she was supposed to.
Her lawyer says that she did not do so because her petition over this case is awaiting disposal by the High Court.
Khaleda appeared at the special judge court-3 in the capital's Bakshi-bazar area around 11am today, where she was supposed to place her defence statement. The court has set 15th December for the next hearing.
The Anti-Corruption Commission filed the case in 2010 against Khaleda and 3 others for illegal transaction in the name of the charitable trust.
