All-round performances from Andre Russell and Dwayne Bravo helped Dhaka Dynamites comfortably beat Khulna Titans by 54 runs on Tuesday and book their place in the final of Bangladesh Premier League 2016.
Put into bat first, Dhaka top-order failed to rise to the occasion and they were six wickets down on 89 in the 14th over.
Russell then smashed four fours and three sixes to make 46 in 25 deliveries to take Dhaka to a decent total. Bravo also added 23 off 22 as Dhaka posted 140 for 8.
For Khulna, bowler Junaid Khan was the standout player, bagging four wickets for 24.
Chasing 141, all the Khulna top-order batsmen barring Andre Fletcher (28) cut a sorry figure, as none of them could reach double digit.
The pair of Russell and Bravo was instrumental in bowling as well, they both bagged three wickets to bundle Khulna at a lowly 86.
Russell was duly adjudged the player of the match for his heroics.
Khulna will play Rajshahi Kings in Qualifier 2 on Wednesday for a place in Friday's final.
