bronx_suspicious_suv_1003, New York, Monday, October 3, 2016: A pressure cooker left in the back of a stolen SUV sent the NYPD’s Bomb Squad to a Bronx street Monday afternoon, but cops ultimately determined that the cooker wasn’t a threat to anyone, police said.

Police responded to a report of a suspicious package after a man parked the vehicle — a newer-model Nissan Pathfinder — on Starling Ave. near Odell St. in Parkchester just before 2 p.m. and walked away, cops said.

Emergency Services and Bomb Squad officers arrived on the scene, but cops soon determined that the package was a “legitimate pressure cooker” and “non-nefarious,” an NYPD spokesman said.

The scare comes just over two weeks after a pressure cooker bomb injured over 31 people in Chelsea, among four total bombings and attempted bombings by suspect Ahmad Rahami.
