A former advisor of Bangladesh Law Society, and a pro-BNP former official are leaving no stones unturned in order to remove the US Awami League leader Morsheda Zaman, president of the current committee from her position. Just a day after Morsheda Zaman had been in charge of the new committee, the former general secretary Nilufer Yasmin, aided and abetted by the Jamaat-e-Islmai conspirators, withdrew $10,000 off the bank account of the organization. Upon a threat of lawsuit from the new committee, that advisor assured that he would resolve the issue. About six months have passed ever since, but Nilufer Yasmin did not yet return that money. On the other hand, in order to place that Jamaat lawyer in the position of convener removing president Morsheda, the Jamaat associates are having an election commissioner claim that the election was not fair enough.
But an investigation into why the removal of the pro-Awami elected president became so urgent has flung open the pandora’s box! It transpired that Barrister Razzak too wants that the Bangladesh Law Society work in his favor. And for it to happen, it’s necessary that power of this organization be into the grip of pro-Jamaat lawyers. And that advisor is working nonstop to assist Barrister Razzak in this regard. It’s known that this advisor is also lobbying with the Awami League government in favor of Barrister Razzak. Last June when the Attorney General visited New York, that advisor had him attend a feast in his house, and then spread the news with a heavy emphasis.
It too is revealed that a number of Bangladesh Law Society officials are working in favor of the war criminals. According to a source, despite Bangladesh Law Society being a small organization, they spend 13 to 15 thousand dollars every year over ads in print media. In doing so, they are in fact financially supporting various Jamaat-run organizations, and thus helping them run their anti-Liberation propaganda.
