{"id":78730,"date":"2022-06-08T13:07:40","date_gmt":"2022-06-08T13:07:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/en.bornomalanews.com\/?p=78730"},"modified":"2022-06-08T13:07:40","modified_gmt":"2022-06-08T13:07:40","slug":"fifa-world-cup-trophy-arrives-in-dhaka","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.bornomalanews.com\/?p=78730","title":{"rendered":"FIFA World Cup trophy arrives in Dhaka"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong><img class=\"wp-image-78731 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/en.bornomalanews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/552-300x171.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"865\" height=\"493\" srcset=\"https:\/\/en.bornomalanews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/552-300x171.jpg 300w, https:\/\/en.bornomalanews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/552-696x398.jpg 696w, https:\/\/en.bornomalanews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/552.jpg 700w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 865px) 100vw, 865px\" \/>Sports Desk:<\/strong> The FIFA World Cup trophy has arrived in Dhaka for a 36-hour tour, giving Bangladeshi fans the chance to experience football's most coveted prize.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">A chartered flight, carrying the original FIFA World Cup trophy, landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at around 10.45 am on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<div class=\"m-0 p-0\" style=\"text-align: left;\" data-position=\"desktop-details-article-right\">\n<div class=\"article-ad-right ms-2 mb-2\">\n<div class=\"ads bg-light mb-2 d-flex justify-content-center\">\n<div class=\"ad_cl-13\" data-id=\"13\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Officials of Coca Cola and BFF, led by the BFF president Kazi Mohammad Salahuddin, received the trophy at the airport.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The trophy tour is accompanied by a seven-member FIFA delegation, including French 1998 World Cup winner Christian Karembeu.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The trophy will be taken to the President's residence, the Bangabhaban at 4pm, and the residence of the Prime Minister, the Ganabhaban at 7 pm.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">After the two high profile courtesy meeting, Coca Cola Bangladesh will host a dinner for specific invited guests on Wednesday night.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">On the following day, a cultural programme will be held as the trophy will be displayed at the Army Stadium for the public. People will also have opportunities to take photos with the trophy.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The global tour of the world's most coveted trophy started on May 12 with a first-stop event in Dubai.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The showpiece event, sponsored by Coca-Cola will be held in 51 countries, including all the 32 countries of the upcoming Qatar World Cup in November-December this year.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Earlier, the trophy made its visit to Bangladesh in 2013 before FIFA World Cup 2014 in Brazil.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sports Desk: The FIFA World Cup trophy has arrived in Dhaka for a 36-hour tour, giving Bangladeshi fans the chance to experience football&#8217;s most coveted prize.
