\"\"Dhaka:<\/strong> Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader said the ruling Awami League is the last resort of people\u2019s trust and dependence as its root is profoundly deepened\u00a0 in the soil of this country.<\/p>\n

He came up with the remark while speaking at a press briefing on contemporary issues at his Secretariat office here.<\/p>\n

Quader, also the Road Transport and Bridges Minister, said BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir recently commented that the AL would not get passage of escaping if the country\u2019s people wake up.<\/p>\n

He said the Awami League and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina have affiliations with all the achievements of this country and the happiness and sorrows of the people, so those who have the habit of fleeing away talk about escaping.<\/p>\n

The people are the strength and last resort\u00a0 of the Awami League, he added.<\/p>\n

Quader said Mirza Fakhrul should not forget that many BNP leaders fled to London by giving undertakings and the country\u2019s people know it well. \u201cIf you have the courage, bring back those\u00a0 corrupt leaders from abroad,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Since the country\u2019s people woke up, the faces of BNP leaders were unmasked and they faced defeats in recent elections, he said.<\/p>\n

The AL general secretary said as the pseudo politics of BNP is very clear to the people, they do not have trust and faiths in the party.<\/p>\n

The AL wants BNP to be a strong party as an opposition one, he said, adding if the opposition plays a strong and responsible role, the path to democracy becomes smoother and stronger .<\/p>\n

Coming down heavily on BNP for its ill-politics, Quader said the strength of the BNP is to create anarchy in the country in collusion with the anti-national and communal forces.<\/p>\n
