{"id":69924,"date":"2021-06-27T14:34:27","date_gmt":"2021-06-27T14:34:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/en.bornomalanews.com\/?p=69924"},"modified":"2021-06-27T14:34:27","modified_gmt":"2021-06-27T14:34:27","slug":"pm-gives-agriculture-award-to-32-individuals-organisations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.bornomalanews.com\/?p=69924","title":{"rendered":"PM gives Agriculture Award to 32 individuals, organisations"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong><img class=\"wp-image-69925 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/en.bornomalanews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/Untitled-18-300x176.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"966\" height=\"567\" srcset=\"https:\/\/en.bornomalanews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/Untitled-18-300x176.png 300w, https:\/\/en.bornomalanews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/Untitled-18-696x408.png 696w, https:\/\/en.bornomalanews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/Untitled-18-716x420.png 716w, https:\/\/en.bornomalanews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/Untitled-18.png 725w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 966px) 100vw, 966px\" \/>Dhaka:<\/strong> Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Sunday awarded prestigious Bangabandhu Jatiya Krishi Puroshkar-1424, the highest state recognition for achievements in the agriculture sector, to 32 individuals and organisations.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Of them, five received gold medals, nine silver medals and 18 bronze medals for their outstanding contribution to different fields in agriculture.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Bangabandhu National Agriculture Award-1424 recognised the recipients\u2019 special contribution to agriculture research and expansion, cooperatives motivation, technology innovation, commercial farming, afforestation, rearing livestock and poultry and fish farming.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Agriculture Minister and Chairman of Bangabandhu Krishi Puroshkar Trust Dr M Abdur Razzaque handed over the awards on behalf of the Prime Minister.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The award giving ceremony was held at Osmani Memorial Auditorium while the prime minister joined it virtually from her official residence Ganabhaban.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">In 1973, Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman introduced the award in order to take forward the agro-based economy of the newly independent country.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">After Bangabandhu\u2019s assassination in 1975, the subsequent government stopped the award.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">But after assuming office in 2009, the Awami League government framed \u201cThe Bangabandhu Jatiya Krishi Purashkar Tahabil Ain-2009\u201d giving institutional shape to the award introduced by Bangabandhu.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The Bangabandhu Jatiya Krishi Purashkar Trust Law, 2016 was enacted to make the activities more dynamic.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dhaka: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Sunday awarded prestigious Bangabandhu Jatiya Krishi Puroshkar-1424, the highest state recognition for achievements in the agriculture sector, to 32 individuals and organisations.
