He was tested positive for Covid-19 one month ago and was admitted to the hospital with post-Covid complications, said Professor M Delwar Hossain, head of Respiratory Medicine Department of BIRDEM Hospital.<\/p>\n

Another patient with black fungus is undergoing treatment at the same hospital.<\/p>\n

Earlier, Bangladesh reported two cases of black fungus or mucormycosis in patients who have recovered from Covid-19.<\/p>\n

Mucormycosis or black fungus is a fungal infection, which is rare but can be fatal. In 50 percent of the cases, this fungal infection causes death.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
