\u201cThey have accepted spreading lies and rumors as their sacred duty instead of standing by the\u00a0 people of the country…their lies are an attempt to destroy the morale of the frontline fighters,\u201d he said while briefing reproters at his residence.<\/p>\n
The minister urged BNP to stand by people\u00a0 and extend support to the activities of the government to tackle the pandemic.<\/p>\n
He also highlighted several government initiatives to contain the spread of the contagious deases. \u201cIn addition to implementing zone-based lockdown, the government has taken steps to increase medical equipment and testing centers.\u201d<\/p>\n
He reiterated that the government is strictly following the zero tolerance approach against corruption.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe government will maintain zero tolerance against irregularities in medical equipment\u00a0 purchaseing, just as it has been severely strict for irregularities in relief distribution,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
The minister condemned the negligence of those who are still not wearing masks outdoors.<\/p>\n
About the zone based division for curbing the spread of COVID-19 infection, the minister stressed the coordination among the government institutions.<\/p>\n
