I just wish him well.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u201cI hope he\u2019s fine,\u201d Trump continued, speaking at a White House press conference. \u201cI do know how he\u2019s doing, relatively speaking.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Trump said the media would \u201cprobably be hearing in the not-too-distant future\u201d about Kim<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Conjecture has grown since Kim\u2019s conspicuous no-show at April 15 celebrations for the birthday of his grandfather Kim Il Sung, the North\u2019s founder \u2014 the most important day in the country\u2019s political calendar.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Kim has not made a public appearance since presiding over a Workers\u2019 Party politburo meeting on April 11, and the following day state media reported on him inspecting fighter jets at an air defense unit.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Amid media reports that he was ill and speculation that he might even have died, a top security adviser to South Korean President Moon Jae-in said Sunday that Kim was in fact \u201calive and well.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>International Desk: US President Donald Trump on Monday appeared to confirm that North Korean leader Kim Jong Un is alive, saying he wished him well after days of speculation over the dictator\u2019s whereabouts.
