(Xinhua\/Ting Shen\/IANS)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">International Desk: US Vice President Mike Pence and his wife have both tested negative for the novel coronavirus, his spokesperson Katie Miller announced.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Earlier in the day, Pence underwent the test after Friday\u2019s announcement by his office saying that one of his staff members tested positive for the disease.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Pence said that the staff member was \u201cdoing well\u201d with \u201cmild\u201d cold-like symptoms for a day and a half, and that the staffer had not been at the White House since Monday, according to the report.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">He reiterated neither US President Donald Trump nor himself had direct contact with the staff member, and said that health authorities have traced his contacts.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">As of Sunday, the US has reported 26,892 confirmed coronavirus cases in the country, with a total of 348 deaths.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>International Desk: US Vice President Mike Pence and his wife have both tested negative for the novel coronavirus, his spokesperson Katie Miller announced.
