{"id":52653,"date":"2019-02-16T09:09:26","date_gmt":"2019-02-16T09:09:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/en.bornomalanews.com\/?p=52653"},"modified":"2019-02-16T09:09:26","modified_gmt":"2019-02-16T09:09:26","slug":"pm-joins-munich-security-conference","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.bornomalanews.com\/?p=52653","title":{"rendered":"PM joins Munich Security Conference"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><img class=\"wp-image-52654 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/en.bornomalanews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/211457pmhasina2-300x171.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"905\" height=\"516\" srcset=\"https:\/\/en.bornomalanews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/211457pmhasina2-300x171.jpg 300w, https:\/\/en.bornomalanews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/211457pmhasina2-696x398.jpg 696w, https:\/\/en.bornomalanews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/211457pmhasina2.jpg 700w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 905px) 100vw, 905px\" \/>News desk: A three-day Munich Security Conference (MSC 2019) kicked off at Hotel Bayerischer Hof today bringing together more than 450 senior decision-makers and thought-leaders from around the world to engage in an intensive debate on current and future challenges of human security.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The conference will discuss the future of arms control and cooperation in defence policy as well as examine intersection between trade and international security, effects of climate change and technological innovations on the international security, according to BSS report.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina joined the conference along with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Afghan President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, Romanian President Klaus Iohannis, Ukraine President Petro Poroschenko, President of Rwanda Paul Kagame, Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and Member of the 19th Politburo of the Chinese Communist Party Yang Jiechi.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Over 40 other foreign and defence ministers from the EU and NATO, Russia, Iran, Iraq, Qatar, Pakistan and the Philippines are also taking part in the conference.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The conference began with welcome speech of the MSC 2019 chairman Ambassador Wolfgang Ischinger.
