{"id":49297,"date":"2018-11-19T18:58:23","date_gmt":"2018-11-19T18:58:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/en.bornomalanews.com\/?p=49297"},"modified":"2018-11-19T18:58:23","modified_gmt":"2018-11-19T18:58:23","slug":"cabinet-approves-mother-of-humanity-award","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.bornomalanews.com\/?p=49297","title":{"rendered":"Cabinet approves &#8216;Mother of Humanity&#8217; award"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><img class=\"wp-image-49298 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/en.bornomalanews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/Sheikh-Hasina-Mother_of_Humanity-daily-sun-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"795\" height=\"530\" srcset=\"https:\/\/en.bornomalanews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/Sheikh-Hasina-Mother_of_Humanity-daily-sun-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/en.bornomalanews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/Sheikh-Hasina-Mother_of_Humanity-daily-sun-630x420.jpg 630w, https:\/\/en.bornomalanews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/Sheikh-Hasina-Mother_of_Humanity-daily-sun.jpg 660w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 795px) 100vw, 795px\" \/>Dhaka: The cabinet has approved the draft of \u2018Mother of Humanity Social Work Award Policy, 2018\u2019 for the contribution to social welfare.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The approval came from a meeting presided over by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Monday.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Cabinet secretary Mohammad Shafiul Alam said awards will be given to those individuals or organisations who are working for the betterment of physically challenged, elderly people and underprivileged.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u201cThe term \u2018Mother of Humanity\u2019 refers to the prime minister and it reflects her recognition as the Mother of Humanity on the international arena,\u201d\u00a0Shafiul Alam informed journalists.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The Britain-based \u2018Channel 4\u2019 dubbed Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina the \u2018Mother of Humanity\u2019 in 2017 after she extended her whole-hearted support and gave refuge to hundreds of thousands of Rohingya people escaping persecution in the Rakhaine state of \u00a0Myanmar. \u00a0And accordingly the government is launching an award named after it.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">As per the award guidelines, it is similar to the National Award.
