\u201cThe evil force and some so-called civil society members and intellectuals have tried to achieve political gain capitalizing on the sentiments of the agitating school children after tragic death of two school children,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
The prime minister was addressing a discussion organized by Bangladesh Chhatra League at Gonobhaban marking the National Mourning Day.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe opportunists tried to spread falsehood and instigate people by taking the advantage of social media, a contribution of Awami League,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cLives of many children might have been endangered because of their instigation\u2026 but they didn\u2019t think of the danger for a single time while they were trying to take advantage of the children\u2019s protest,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n
Sheikh Hasina said a section of civil society members raised hue and cry as the government took appropriate action against the instigators. They are also trying to put pressure from across the global.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut, everybody should keep in mind that the government would never compromise or succumb to any pressure on the question of ethics,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
President of BCL Rezwanul Haque Chowdury and General Secretary Golam Rabbani also spoke on the occasion.<\/p>\n
Urging the Chhatra League leaders to nourish the principles of ideology and sacrifice, the prime minister said they (student leaders) should not be lured to the posts and positions in the party as taught by Bangabandhu.<\/p>\n
