{"id":46117,"date":"2018-08-03T20:05:33","date_gmt":"2018-08-03T20:05:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/en.bornomalanews.com\/?p=46117"},"modified":"2018-08-03T20:05:33","modified_gmt":"2018-08-03T20:05:33","slug":"pm-seeks-more-danish-investment-offers-space-in-sez","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.bornomalanews.com\/?p=46117","title":{"rendered":"PM seeks more Danish investment; offers space in SEZ"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><img class=\"wp-image-46118 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/en.bornomalanews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/daily_sun_Mikael_Hemniti_Winther-PM_S_Hasina_picture-300x171.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"886\" height=\"505\" srcset=\"https:\/\/en.bornomalanews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/daily_sun_Mikael_Hemniti_Winther-PM_S_Hasina_picture-300x171.jpg 300w, https:\/\/en.bornomalanews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/daily_sun_Mikael_Hemniti_Winther-PM_S_Hasina_picture-696x398.jpg 696w, https:\/\/en.bornomalanews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/daily_sun_Mikael_Hemniti_Winther-PM_S_Hasina_picture.jpg 700w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 886px) 100vw, 886px\" \/>Dhaka: Mentioning that Bangladesh has a very potential market, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Thursday sought more Danish investment here and offered space in the country\u2019s special economic zones for setting up Danish industries.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">She made the offer when outgoing Danish Ambassador in Dhaka Mikael Hemniti Winther paid a farewell call on her at her office.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">PM\u2019s Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim briefed reporters after the meeting.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The Prime Minister expressed satisfaction over the existing bilateral relations and thanked the Danish envoy for his role in strengthening the ties and cooperation between Bangladesh and Denmark.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">She lauded the friendly countries that came forward to assist Bangladesh in facing the problems created following the influx of Rohingyas.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Sheikh Hasina also highlighted Bangladesh\u2019s socio-economic development and massive progress in the technology use.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">She said the use of technology by people helped increase the country\u2019s GDP growth.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The Prime Minister said her government made the telephone system digitised and broke the monopoly in the mobile phone market after coming to power in 1996.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">About disasters, she said Bangladesh made a good number of trained volunteers to protect lives and assets of the people during any natural calamity.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The Danish envoy said the Bangladesh-Denmark relation has reached a new height.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">He reaffirmed Denmark's commitment to extending humanitarian assistance to Bangladesh for the displaced Myanmar nationals so that they can go back to their homeland.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Mikael Hemniti Winther highly appreciated the Prime Minister\u2019s humanitarian gesture of hosting 1.1 million Rohingyas.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">He said he is optimistic about successes of Bangladesh.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Hailing the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the envoy said Bangladesh has witnessed huge progress and the image of the country has reached to a new height in the international arena.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister\u2019s Office Md Nojibur Rahman was present.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dhaka: Mentioning that Bangladesh has a very potential market, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Thursday sought more Danish investment here and offered space in the country\u2019s special economic zones for setting up Danish industries.
