\u201cI faced several blows in the past. Maybe there\u2019ll be more but I don\u2019t care\u2026I never care about death. I\u2019m alive to finish the unfinished jobs of my father, bring smile to the faces of country\u2019s people, change their fate and give the country a dignified position in the world arena,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
Sheikh Hasina, the eldest daughter of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, said this while inaugurating a blood donation programme organised by Bangladesh Krishak League on the premises of Bangabandhu Bhaban at Dhanmondi Road No 32.<\/p>\n
The Prime Minister said the debt of Bangabandhu\u2019s blood could be paid through building the country as \u2018Golden Bangladesh\u2019 as he had dreamt.\u00a0 \u201cWe\u2019ve to pay his blood debt\u2026we\u2019ll be able to pay his debt of blood by building the country as Golden Bangladesh. InshaAlah, we\u2019ll be able to do that; I have that belief,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
She said the country has already made a good progress in its journey towards its goal of being \u2018Golden Bangladesh\u2019. \u201cWe\u2019ll advance the country further.\u201d<\/p>\n
Sheikh Hasina, also the chief of ruling Awami League, sought cooperation of people in maintaining the pace of development that the country attained in the last nine and a half years.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe want you to pray for us\u2026the pace of development we\u2019ve attained must not be stopped. We can fulfill Father of the Nation\u2019s dream of \u2018Golden Bangladesh\u2019 through maintaining the pace of progress,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
The Prime Minister firmly said she can say that Bangladesh now got a dignified position in the world and the country is now a developing one. \u201cSurely, the souls of my father, mother and millions of martyrs will get peace,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n
Recalling the horrible memories of August 15, 1975, she said the defeated force of 1971 and freedom fighters by chance who never contain the spirit of the Liberation War were the mastermind of this massacre. \u201cThe defeated force took their revenge through killing the Father of the Nation,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
Sheikh Hasina mentioned that the killers thought that the existence of Bangladesh would be vanished with the killing the Father of the Nation. \u201cThey\u2019d thought that the Bangalee nation would lose everything, and the country would again go under the rule of Pakistanis. The killers went on the killing mission keeping this objective in their minds,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
She said the government has been able to put the killers of Bangabandhu under trial and implement the court verdict. \u201cStill, there\u2019re some killers hiding in various countries. We\u2019re trying to bring them home,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
Talking about the involvement of Ziaur Rahman in the killing of Bangabandhu, the Prime Minister said the self-claimed and convicted killers mentioned that they had communication with Ziaur Rahman and they had informed him about the killing. \u201cZia told them to go ahead, and said if they become successful he is with them,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
She said Ziaur Rahman awarded the killers by appointing them in different missions. \u201cWhy did he give them award? He was fully involved in the killing. That\u2019s why he gave them award,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
Sheikh Hasina also said the consequence of Ziaur Rahman was inevitable for him. \u201cMy sorrow is that I couldn\u2019t put him under trial. He passed away before that,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n
Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu, Health Minister Mohammad Nasim and local MP Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh also spoke with Krishak League President Motahar Hossain Molla in the chair.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
