He made the remark when he called on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her official residence Ganobahaban in Dhaka on Thursday.<\/p>\n
After the meeting, Prime Minister's Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim briefed reporters.<\/p>\n
During the meeting, Salil Shetty told the premier that he visited Cox's Bazar Rohingya camps, talked to Rohingyas and saw satellite pictures as well as video evidences of the atrocities carried out on Rohingyas by Myanmar Army.<\/p>\n
“Rohingya women are still traumatised,” he added.<\/p>\n
Myanmar must take back the Rohingyas to their homeland with full security and safety, Shetty said, adding there should be more campaign in favour of Rohingyas.<\/p>\n
He apprehended that the situation would be more challenging to manage one million Rohingyas during the upcoming monsoon.<\/p>\n
Sheikh Hasina, at the meeting, said visible progress is not happening despite efforts of Bangladesh and Myanmar over repatriation of Rohingyas people to their homeland.<\/p>\n
She said a number of Myanmar ministers visited Bangladesh and saw the sufferings of Rohingyas who were forcibly displaced from their motherland.<\/p>\n
The Prime Minister also mentioned that biometric registration of Rohingyas has been done to identify them quickly and effectively.<\/p>\n
In this regard, she said Bangladesh government is very much careful about the safety and security of Rohingyas.<\/p>\n
About the relocation of the Rohingya refugees to Bhashan Char, Sheikh Hasina said the government is constructing temporary shelters there for the distressed people.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
