\"PM-new-pic2\"Dhaka: Coming down heavily on the Chief Justice for comparing Bangladesh with Pakistan, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Monday said she is not scared at all with such a threat and this is not tolerable either.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is very much disgraceful that Bangladesh has been compared with Pakistan (in the judgment), this is not tolerable at all,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

The Prime Minister was speaking at a rally after placing wreaths at a makeshift memorial of the martyrs of the gruesome grenade attack on August 21, 2004 on Bangabandhu Avenue at Krishibid Institution, Bangladesh (KIB).<\/p>\n

She said, \u201cWe can tolerate anything, but not comparing [Bangladesh] with Pakistan? This is not tolerable at all.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhy Bangladesh will be compared with Pakistan? Why comparison will be done with Pakistani Prime Minister. And there\u2019ll be no use by giving me such a threat,\u201d she said without mentioning the Chief Justice\u2019s name.<\/p>\n

While hearing the Masdar Hossain case, the Chief Justice on Sunday said the judiciary is having enough patience. \u00a0Referring to the removal of Pakistan\u2019s Prime Minister (Nawaz Sharif) by the Supreme Court, the Chief Justice said, \u201cPakistan Supreme Court has\u2026the prime minister. We have been patient, we are having patience. We\u2019re only saying we need to be more mature.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Prime Minister said this cannot be accepted that a court of Pakistan removed their Prime Minister through a verdict and that will be used as a threat in Bangladesh.<\/p>\n

She said people are the strongest power in Bangladesh and people\u2019s power has been established in the sacred Constitution saying \u2018People are the source of all power\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople\u2019s court is the biggest court; no one can ignore people\u2019s court\u2026 I\u2019m lodging my complaint with this court\u2026 I want justice from the court of people,\u201d Sheikh Hasina said. UNB<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
