Or else, the lawyers will wage a strong movement against him from September.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Quamrul also alleged that the Chief Justice is speaking in BNP\u2019s tune making an entente with anti-liberation forces.<\/p>\n<p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/post.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fbnpbd.org%2Fposts%2F1393733157349304&width=500\" width=\"500\" height=\"546\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Protesting the minister\u2019s comment, Rizvi suggested Quamrul to see his own face in the mirror as he had been holding the office even after being convicted by the apex court. \u201cThough you\u2019ve broken the oath of protecting the constitution, still you\u2019re holding the office as a minister.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Rizvi also said Quamrul could not tolerate the rule of law as he himself was convicted by the Supreme Court.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The BNP leader alleged that Quamrul\u2019s brother was an infamous Razakar commander of Dhaka city and peace committee chairman during the Liberation War.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u201cThose who are destroying all the state institutions and snatching people\u2019s voting rights are now advising the Chief Justice to step down,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Rizvi again alleged that the police and ruling party cadres were obstructing their party\u2019s member collection drive across the country.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Besides, he claimed that around 300 BNP leaders and activists were arrested on Thursday across the country, including Jessore, Mymensingh and Jhenidah.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">He strongly condemned the arrest of BNP men and demanded the government immediately stop its countrywide mass arrest drive.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The senior BNP leader also condemned recent arrest of party leaders and activists BNP has termed \u201cextremely audacious\u201d the Food Minister Quamrul Islam\u2019s comment on Chief Justice SK Sinha following the Supreme Court\u2019s verdict that made 16th Amendment to the Constitution. \u201cThe food minister\u2019s remark about the Chief Justice is extremely audacious and a grave [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":7,"featured_media":35678,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":[],"categories":[12],"tags":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v16.5 -
