A Dhaka court on Monday placed four suspected militants, who surrendered to members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) during an anti-militant drive in Ashulia on Sunday, on a four-day remand.<\/p>\n

Senior Judicial Magistrate Fairuz Tasnim passed the order when Unu Mong, senior assistant police superintendent of RAB 4 and also the investigation officer of the case, produced them before the court seeking a 10-day remand for each.<\/p>\n

The four suspected militants\u2013Mozammel Haq, Rashedun Nabi, Erfan Ul Haq and Mohammd Alamgir Hosain\u2013were remanded in a case filed under the Anti-Terrorism Act on April 27 with Savar police station.<\/p>\n

On April, 27, police arrested three suspected members of JMB along with explosive materials during an anti-militant drive at Rajphulbaria Bus Stand in Savar.<\/p>\n

On Sunday, members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) in an anti-militant raid on a hideout at Chakalgram-Chourapara in Ashulia , arrested the four suspected militants, aged between 20 and 22, following their surrender to the elite force.<\/p>\n
