\"1491311229\"Dhaka desk: Biman Flight Catering Centre (BFCC) has been given “Excellent on Time Performance-2016” Award by the Malaysian Airlines Authority for its quality in-flight meals and cabin dressing.<\/p>\n

The award would be announced and handed over formally on April 6 at Hamburg of Germany, said a Biman press release today.<\/p>\n

Malaysian Airlines In-Flight Operations Department Head Rahima Farzan Ali has confirmed the BFCC about the award.<\/p>\n

BFCC has already attained acceptability to foreign airlines that operate flight at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport for its quality in-flight meals and cabin dressing.<\/p>\n

Apart from Biman Bangladesh Airlines, the BFCC supplies in-flight meals to Malaysian Airlines, Cathay Pacific Airways, Dragon Air and Turkish Airlines.<\/p><\/div>\n

Besides, it provides cabin dressing to another 11 foreign carriers regularly.<\/p>\n

Keeping in mind about specialized food for passengers, BFCC recently introduced “diabetic meals” and “kids meals”.<\/p>\n

In fiscal 2015-16, the BFCC supplied 28 lakh meals to both local and foreign carriers to generate Taka 119 crore as revenue, of which Taka 28 was net profit.<\/p>\n

Biman Bangladesh Airlines Managing Director and CEO A M Mosaddique said the award is the testimony that services and business of Biman in Southeast Asia is being expanded gradually due to maintaining quality.<\/p>\n
