{"id":30860,"date":"2017-02-19T17:04:32","date_gmt":"2017-02-19T17:04:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/en.bornomalanews.com\/?p=30860"},"modified":"2017-02-19T17:04:32","modified_gmt":"2017-02-19T17:04:32","slug":"pm-returns-home-from-munich","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.bornomalanews.com\/?p=30860","title":{"rendered":"PM returns home from Munich"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><img class=\"wp-image-30861 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/en.bornomalanews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/14687013445-300x193.jpg\" alt=\"14687013445\" width=\"912\" height=\"587\" srcset=\"https:\/\/en.bornomalanews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/14687013445-300x193.jpg 300w, https:\/\/en.bornomalanews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/14687013445.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 912px) 100vw, 912px\" \/>Dhaka desk: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina returned home tonight from Munich via\u00a0 Abu Dhabi after wrapping up her three-day official visit to Germany to attend the 53rd Munich\u00a0 Security Conference (MSC).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">An Etihad Airways flight (EY258) carrying the premier and her entourage members landed at Hazrat\u00a0 Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at 8 pm.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Earlier, the premier had a stopover for more than six and a half hours at Abu Dhabi, the United\u00a0 Arab Emirates capital, on her way home.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The premier paid the three-day visit to Germany to attend the 53rd Munich Security Conference (MSC), an annual meeting on international security policy, at the invitation of German Chancellor\u00a0 Angela Merkel.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\nSheikh Hasina joined the three-day conference as the first head of state or government of Bangladesh.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">During the visit, the prime minister also held a bilateral meeting with the German chancellor.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">On the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference, she took part in a panel discussion on\u00a0 &#8220;Climate Security: Good COP, Bad COPs&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The prime minister joined a civic reception accorded to her by expatriate Bangladeshis living in\u00a0 different European countries.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali, PM's Principal Secretary Dr Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury, Foreign Secretary Md Shahidul Haque, Home Secretary Dr Kamaluddin Ahmed and Press Secretary Ihsanul<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Karim, among others, accompanied the premier during her visit to Germany.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\nNearly 450 representatives including heads of state and government from different countries joined the Munich Conference which is being considered as the &#8220;Best Think Tank Conference&#8221; in the\u00a0 present discourses on world security.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Besides the Bangladesh prime minister, the Norwegian premier and the presidents of Poland and\u00a0 Afghanistan, the US vice president and defence minister as well as the foreign ministers of Russia,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">China, the UK, Saudi Arabia and Iran attended the conference. Munich Security Conference started its journey in 1963.
