\"rizvi-web_1\"Dhaka desk: The BNP today hoped that an independent election commission will be formed with the consent of all the political parties which will oversee the next general elections.<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople expect a neutral and independent election commission which will be out of government\u2019s influence. It will be a real constitutional institution which will ensure peoples\u2019 voting rights ignoring the government\u2019s ill motive,\u201d Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, senior joint secretary general of the party, said.<\/p>\n

Addressing a press conference at the party\u2019s Nayapaltan headquarters, Rizvi said, \u201cWe expect from the president that he will form such an election commission on which all the political parties including the BNP can rely on the new election commission.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tenure of the incumbent election commission will be expired on February next year.
