\"20160423045529\"Staff Correspondent:<\/strong> State Minister for Posts and Telecommunications, Tarana Halim said in facebook status in the morning that her ministry has no plan or any desire to expose the identity of the general people who visit pronography websites for their personal demand and enjoyment.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe respect privacy and personal information of individuals. And we cannot do so technically, legally and ethically \u201cshe said against the backdrop of misconception and misinterpretation of her remarks in some social networking sites like facebook and tweeter.<\/p>\n

“This misconception of making a list is inconsistent with our view and this was not said either,” said Tarana.<\/p>\n

She, however, writes that a committee was formed to make a list of local porn sites, but not the visitors of the sites. Besides, the process of blocking the sites would also began after receiving recommendations from the committee.<\/p>\n

“Internet contents generated abroad cannot totally be blocked, but it will be good enough if we can be successful to block 70.0 percent of the contents of the sites,” the state minister said.<\/p>\n

“We will not, cannot and shall not disclose anyone trying to enter into these sites. We are fully committed to respect the privacy of individuals,” Tarana said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
