{"id":28457,"date":"2016-12-04T22:05:20","date_gmt":"2016-12-04T22:05:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/en.bornomalanews.com\/?p=28457"},"modified":"2016-12-04T22:05:20","modified_gmt":"2016-12-04T22:05:20","slug":"probe-on-to-find-out-pms-flight-emergency-landing-reason-menon","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.bornomalanews.com\/?p=28457","title":{"rendered":"Probe on to find out PM\u2019s flight emergency landing reason: Menon"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img class=\"size-medium wp-image-28458 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/en.bornomalanews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/parliment9-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"parliment9\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" srcset=\"https:\/\/en.bornomalanews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/parliment9-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/en.bornomalanews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/parliment9-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/en.bornomalanews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/parliment9-696x392.jpg 696w, https:\/\/en.bornomalanews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/parliment9-747x420.jpg 747w, https:\/\/en.bornomalanews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/parliment9.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>Dhaka desk: Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Rashed Khan Menon on Sunday informed the Jatiya Sangsad that investigation is underway to find out the real cause behind the emergency landing of the Bangladesh Biman flight carrying Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on November 27.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA preliminary investigation found that the emergency landing was due to technical glitch . . . however, the members of intelligence agencies are working on the matter to ascertain whether it was any negligence or sabotage,\u201d the minister said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>Menon made the statement under the Rule 300 of the Rules of Procedure of the House with Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury in the chair.<\/p>\n<p>Terming the incident as very unfortunate, the minister said, \u201cHearing the news I personally monitored it and subsequently came to know that the special VVIP flight (BG 1011) &#8220;Ranga Pravat&#8221; carrying Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina landed at Ashgabat International Airport in Turkmenistan safely.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He said, \u201cThe nation was fortunate that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, our guardian after Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, safely returned amongst us.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The civil aviation minister said six Biman officials were suspended for their negligence in duty on the basis of the initial investigation report in this connection.<\/p>\n<p>The special VVIP flight (BG 1011) &#8220;Ranga Pravat&#8221; carrying the premier and 99 passengers, including her entourage, four cockpit crews, 20 cabin crews and four aircraft engineers left Dhaka for the Hungarian capital at 9.14am on November 27.
