bornomalanews, New York (September 3, 2016):<\/em><\/strong> In the in-absentia janaja of the recently hanged war criminal Mir Quasem, the followers of\u00a0Jamaat-e-Islami in New York have voiced their resolution to avenge this hanging. In a brief\u00a0protest meeting prior to the janaja held on 3rd September in Brooklyn, they claimed the government of Bangladesh did so in order\u00a0to undermine the leadership of the country.<\/p>\n

Jamaat leaders who attended the janaja said he\u00a0was completely innocent.\u00a0The protest meeting was presided over by freedom fighter and professor Nurul Islam,\u00a0president of Progressive Forum of Bangladeshi Americans, and was organized by Mahbubur\u00a0Rahman, secretary of Progressive Forum of Bangladeshi Americans. Those who spoke at the\u00a0protest meeting include educationist Abdul Hafid, Mohammad Naji – leader of Yemeni\u00a0American community, Mohammad-representative of MASS New York, Mir Masum Ali – younger\u00a0brother of Mir Quasem Ali, Mahtab Uddin – ex-president of Muslim Ummah of North America,\u00a0\u00a0Abdul Aziz Bhuiyan, teacher Abu Sameeha Sirajul Islam, and Abdul Al Arif – community\u00a0leader.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
